غوتيريش يعرض المساعدة في الجهود الدبلوماسية لحل الازمة الكورية الشمالية

عرض الامين العام للامم المتحدة انطونيو غوتيريش الاربعاء دخوله شخصيا على خط المساعي الهادفة للتوصل الى حل دبلوماسي للازمة الكورية الشمالية، معتبرا انه آن الاوان لخفض التهديدات وتفعيل الدبلوماسية.
واعلن غوتيريش في مؤتمر صحافي في مقر الامم المتحدة 'مع ارتفاع منسوب التوتر يرتفع خطر سوء الفهم، وسوء التقدير او التصعيد، لذا فمن المهم جدا تقليل الخطابات وتفعيل الدبلوماسية'.
وقال غوتيريش 'خدماتي الشخصية متوفرة دائما وابلغت بالامس ممثلي دول مجموعة الست بذلك'.
واضاف غوتيريش انه سيبقى على اتصال وثيق بجميع الاطراف المعنيين وعلى استعداد للمساعدة بكل الوسائل'.
وفي اولى سنوات الالفية الثانية عقدت مجموعة الست التي تضم كوريا الجنوبية، والصين، وروسيا، واليابان والولايات المتحدة محادثات مع كوريا الشمالية أبدت خلالها بيونغ يانغ تجاوبا نسبيا حيال إبطاء وتيرة برنامجها النووي وإخضاعه لرقابة دولية.
الا ان هذه المحادثات انهارت في 2009.
وقال غوتيريش 'لقد بلغ التوتر مستويات غير مسبوقة منذ عقود'، مشيرا الى 'المعاناة الهائلة' التي نجمت عن الحرب الكورية بين 1950 و1953، والتي قال إنها أدت الى مقتل أكثر من ثلاثة ملايين شخص، كما ان نسبة القتلى المدنيين فيها تجاوزت النسب المسجلة في الحرب العالمية الثانية.
وتابع الأمين العام للامم المتحدة 'علينا الاستفادة من دروس التاريخ، وعدم تكرار الأخطاء'.
