Pentagon: Iran, Russia, Pakistan Continue to Support Afghan Taliban Iran is accused of helping Taliban Important News AFP, Dec, 22, 2017 - Russia, Iran, and Pakistan continue to undermine U.S. interests in Afghanistan by engaging with the Taliban, the most prominent terrorists fighting against American troops in the war-ravaged country, the Pentagon claimed in a new assessment. In its recently unveiled assessment of security conditions in Afghanistan, which covers the period from June 1 through November 30, the Pentagon notes: Russia continued to seek ways to undermine U.S. influence in the region by disseminating false information about U.S. objectives, engaging with the Taliban, and putting pressure on Central Asian neighbors to deny support to U.S. and NATO efforts to stabilize Afghanistan. Iran provides some support to the Taliban and publicly justifies its relationship with the Taliban as a means to combat the spread of ISIS-K [Islamic State -Khorasan] in Afghanistan.
Pro- Iran Remarks From Afghan Official May Cause ViolenceAfghanistan 05 December 2017 Iran Focus London, 5 Dec - Recent comments from an Afghan Shiite leader that were complimentary to the Iranian and Syrian regimes are likely to attract regional sectarian rivalries to Afghanistan and incite further violence, according to analysts. Deputy Afghan Chief Executive Mohammad Mohaqeq, a leader of the country's Shiite minority, told an international summit of scholars from Muslim nations in Iran: "I thank all the warriors who cooperated in these wars from Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan and other parts of the world."He was talking specifically about the war in Syria where the Iranian Regime helped to prop up the Bashar al-Assad dictatorship by sending in their Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), Lebanese proxy group Hezbollah, and thousands of other fighters from across the Middle East. This is slightly surprising considering that Iran has sent thousands of Shiite Afghan ref...

Damning Evidence of Iran-Al Qaeda Relationship Found in Documents Seized From Bin Laden Complex in 2011Terrorism 02 November 2017 Iran Focus London, 2 Nov - Recently released CIA documents show a clear and complex relationship between Al Qaeda and Iran, which included threats, kidnappings, and cooperation. As part of a Freedom of Information request by the Long War Journal, the CIA turned over a huge stack of material about the war on terror, including a 19-page report seized by Navy SEALs from the Osama Bin Laden complex in Pakistan, when they killed him. It is this document that provides more evidence of the Iranian Regime’s widely-known links to terrorism, for which they are called the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism. Indeed, the Long War Journal described it as "a senior jihadist's assessment of the group's relationship with Iran”, while two senior American intelligence officials referred to it as "evidence of Iran's support of al Qaeda's war wi...
