Former Algerian prime minister Sid Ahmed Ghozali
Analysis by PMOI/MEK
June 20, 2018 - Despite four decades of domestic crackdown and fueling foreign wars, scenes viewed from inside Iran in the past six months prove this dissatisfied nation is rising against the mullahs’ actions in bold fashion and setting their fears aside.
The Iranian people are braving all odds, posing serious challenges for the ruling regime and taking to the streets to encounter the entire mullah apparatus, according to a recent Townhallpiece written by former Algerian prime minister Sid Ahmed Ghozali.
This decades-long struggle has seen the Iranian people sacrifice over 120,000 members of the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) members and supporters. This year also marks the 30th anniversary of the summer 1988 massacre of over 30,000 political prisoners, mostly linked to the PMOI/MEK. These innocent victims sacrificed their all for freedom and democracy, and their legacy is beginning to bear fruit as the Iranian people are rising ever more against the regime.
While claiming otherwise, the Iranian regime has failed in dozens of attempts to eliminate the PMOI/MEK and all other forms of dissent and opposition. This comes after years of “massacres, executions, psychological warfare, and disinformation campaigns against the organized opposition,” according to Ghozali.

The PMOI/MEK is proving to be active and influential as ever, working with its vast network inside the country and making the nationwide protests we have witnessed in the Dec/Jan uprising, Kazerun and truckers’ strike possible.

The PMOI/MEK’s activities are not limited to inside Iran. Various forums and sessions are held across the globe in numerous parliaments and other institutions, holding discussions with policymakers and other influential figures to shed light on the reality of Iran and the mullahs’ regime, and provide the solutions presented by their resistance movement.

At the helm of the Iranian opposition is Maryam Rajavi, President of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), a parliament-in-exile enjoying vast support on both side of the Atlantic, the Middle East and even North Africa.

The NCRI has roots inside Iran and the Iranian Diaspora, seen in the numerous rallies and the annual convention held each year in Paris and attended by more than 100,000 people.

Furthermore, hundreds of politicians from five continents come to this convention, voicing their support for a better future in Iran through regime change. This year’s event is scheduled for June 30th and considering the recent developments inside Iran and across the region, and with the United States setting aside its highly controversial and failed appeasement policy, this year’s convention is already of grave political importance.

True change is coming to Iran and the people are proving they will bring this transition by courageously taking it to the regime and its crackdown machine. With the mullahs set aside, Iran is bound to welcome democratic change through the efforts of its people and organized resistance movement.

Iran will become an “oasis of freedom and democracy, a center of security, and brotherhood, serving the Iranian people’s interests building a peaceful friendship with its neighbors and all countries of the world.”

The MEK's Religious BeliefsJubin Katiraie

The MEK's Religious BeliefsJubin Katiraie Blog 18 February 2018 The People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) is a political group dedicated to bringing freedom and democracy to Iran. They derive their political beliefs from a modern and tolerant version of Islam that is fully compatible with modern society – the exact opposite of the ruling mullahs’ Sharia Law, which is intolerant, extremist, genocidal, non-democratic, and misogynist – and the MEK believe that their interpretation is the true meaning of Islam. In 1982, MEK leader Massoud Rajavi, said: “The Islam we want is nationalistic, democratic, progressive, and not opposed to science or civilization. We believe there is no contradiction between modern science and true Islam, and we believe that in Islam there must be no compulsion or dictatorship.” This combination of tolerant religion and politics means that the MEK enjoys broad public support amongst the Iranian people and people all over the world, but it is...

European MP Ties to Islamic Republic of Iran Saturday

European MP Ties to Islamic Republic of Iran Saturday, 03 March 2018 08:29 Ana Gomes, MEP and Josef Weidenholzer By David N. Neumann After lashing out against opponents of the Islamic Republic of Iran in several parliamentary debates, a member of the European Parliament has admitted to doing the bidding of Tehran. In a meeting in Brussels, Portuguese socialist MEP Ana Gomes acknowledged that she had been instructed in Tehran to bash the Iranian opposition. “I met with relatives of the victims of a terrorist organisation called MEK,” she said on her visit to Tehran in a meeting of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee on 22 February 2018. After making a number of allegations about the Iranian opposition movement PMOI or MEK, she added: “We cannot continue to allow some members of this parliament, possibly out of naiveté, to continue to abet some of the members of this organization.” Her claims are particularly surprising, given that competent European and American court...
