Yemen National Army units liberate strategic Hodaydah airport
Analysis by PMOI/MEK
Yemen, June 16, 2018 - Units of the Yemen National Army liberated the strategic Hodaydah airport in the country’s west coast on Saturday, according to Al Arabiya. Backed by popular forces and the Arab coalition, the units were able to rout the Iran-backed Houthis out of the nearby areas and take over the site. Combat engineering units began clearing the area of any mines and neutralizing all the improvised explosive devices made and provided by the Iranian regime.
Operation details
From early Wednesday morning, Yemen National Army ground forces began taking positions near Port Hodaydah. This strategic asset has been used by the Houthis to receive support and arms from the Iranian regime. Arab coalition warplanes and ships have been bombing Houthis positions in this port for the past few days.On Friday night the Yemen National Army units reached the airport gates, surrounding the Houthis positions.
To prevent their forces from fleeing their positions, the Houthis had established a number of checkpoints near the town of Darihami to arrest any defectors. Their efforts failed and the entire defense operation ended in utter defeat.
Strategic importance
The Hodaydah airport is located 10 kilometers from the port itself. Its importance lies in the fact that this port is Yemen’s second-largest port and was the last source of life support provided by the Iranian regime to the Houthis.

The Houthis have also been using Port Hodaydah to reel in huge financial gains, prolonging the war as a result. These Iran-backed forces have also plundered all humanitarian aid provided by the international community to the people of Yemen, making the nation suffer even further. By taking position in this port the Houthis have been threatening international shipping lines in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab waterway.

Military analysts believe the liberation of Hodaydah airport places the road linking this city to the capital, Sana’a, under the popular forces’ control. The lifeline providing logistics and support to the Houthis is now cut off. Advances by Yemeni forces and the Arab coalition through other axes continues as we speak.
Heavy blows

The Houthis have suffered many casualties and a large number of prisoners. An airbase adjacent to the Hodaydah airport, known as one of the most important in Yemen, is now also controlled by the Yemen National Army.

Yemeni activists say Houthi leader Abdulmalak al-Houthi has called for all his reserve units to also take up arms, a sign showing the significance of the recent loss in Hodaydah airport.

Recent advances on the ground by the Yemen National Army further paves the road ahead to Sana’a, bringing an end to the Iranian regime’s control over the capital and this country.

The MEK's Religious BeliefsJubin Katiraie

The MEK's Religious BeliefsJubin Katiraie Blog 18 February 2018 The People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) is a political group dedicated to bringing freedom and democracy to Iran. They derive their political beliefs from a modern and tolerant version of Islam that is fully compatible with modern society – the exact opposite of the ruling mullahs’ Sharia Law, which is intolerant, extremist, genocidal, non-democratic, and misogynist – and the MEK believe that their interpretation is the true meaning of Islam. In 1982, MEK leader Massoud Rajavi, said: “The Islam we want is nationalistic, democratic, progressive, and not opposed to science or civilization. We believe there is no contradiction between modern science and true Islam, and we believe that in Islam there must be no compulsion or dictatorship.” This combination of tolerant religion and politics means that the MEK enjoys broad public support amongst the Iranian people and people all over the world, but it is...

European MP Ties to Islamic Republic of Iran Saturday

European MP Ties to Islamic Republic of Iran Saturday, 03 March 2018 08:29 Ana Gomes, MEP and Josef Weidenholzer By David N. Neumann After lashing out against opponents of the Islamic Republic of Iran in several parliamentary debates, a member of the European Parliament has admitted to doing the bidding of Tehran. In a meeting in Brussels, Portuguese socialist MEP Ana Gomes acknowledged that she had been instructed in Tehran to bash the Iranian opposition. “I met with relatives of the victims of a terrorist organisation called MEK,” she said on her visit to Tehran in a meeting of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee on 22 February 2018. After making a number of allegations about the Iranian opposition movement PMOI or MEK, she added: “We cannot continue to allow some members of this parliament, possibly out of naiveté, to continue to abet some of the members of this organization.” Her claims are particularly surprising, given that competent European and American court...
