NCRI - U.S. General James Conway said the Iranian regime is actively helping terrorists around the world carry out brutal massacres in US and European cities, a British publication wrote on Sunday.
In an interview with Britain's Daily Star Online, General Conway, who was the commander of the US Marine Corps from 2006 to 2010, said he is “not surprised” at evidence that has recently come to light that Iran's regime is providing support for Al-Qaeda.
This alliance was laid bare in a recently-released trove of documents that were found in September 11 mastermind Osama bin Laden’s Pakistan hide-out in 2011.
He said: “I am not surprised at all [that Iran is supporting Al-Qaeda].
“Iran is one of the four states that has not given up on using terrorism as a source of national power. I think Tehran regime will resort to any nefarious means that they think is useful in their efforts.“Although they might seem to be dogs and cats in regards to origins of Al-Qaeda and in light of Iran being a Shiite country, but for the Iran regime, it is finding common bed-fellows against a common cause and enemy.”
Gen. Conway also addressed a conference in Paris this weekend that was organised by the People’s Mojahedin Organisation of Iran (PMOI or MEK), which has repeatedly accused Iran of exporting Islamist fundamentalism around the world, the Daily Star wrote.
The PMOI (MEK) is the largest and most active opposition movement in Iran that supports a totally secular political system in the country, the article said, adding that the organisation was also the first to expose the very existence of Iran’s nuclear programme two decades ago.
Gen. Conway also warned of potential attacks during holidays and anniversaries of significant events – such as the Twin Towers attacks.

He said: “I am always worried about [attacks]. I do not have any specific information but whenever you get around the holiday season, anytime you are around 9/11 – I mean special dates in their perspective – you cannot drop your guard.

“Al-Qaeda, ISIS and groups like that like nothing more than striking a major strike inside the US.”

Iranian opposition leader Maryam Rajavi has called on all western governments to designate the Iranian regime's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) as a “terrorist entity”, the article said.

The US has already blacklisted the IRGC, but European allies have yet to do the same.

The MEK's Religious BeliefsJubin Katiraie Blog 18 February 2018 The People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) is a political group dedicated to bringing freedom and democracy to Iran. They derive their political beliefs from a modern and tolerant version of Islam that is fully compatible with modern society – the exact opposite of the ruling mullahs’ Sharia Law, which is intolerant, extremist, genocidal, non-democratic, and misogynist – and the MEK believe that their interpretation is the true meaning of Islam. In 1982, MEK leader Massoud Rajavi, said: “The Islam we want is nationalistic, democratic, progressive, and not opposed to science or civilization. We believe there is no contradiction between modern science and true Islam, and we believe that in Islam there must be no compulsion or dictatorship.” This combination of tolerant religion and politics means that the MEK enjoys broad public support amongst the Iranian people and people all over the world, but it is...

European MP Ties to Islamic Republic of Iran Saturday

European MP Ties to Islamic Republic of Iran Saturday, 03 March 2018 08:29 Ana Gomes, MEP and Josef Weidenholzer By David N. Neumann After lashing out against opponents of the Islamic Republic of Iran in several parliamentary debates, a member of the European Parliament has admitted to doing the bidding of Tehran. In a meeting in Brussels, Portuguese socialist MEP Ana Gomes acknowledged that she had been instructed in Tehran to bash the Iranian opposition. “I met with relatives of the victims of a terrorist organisation called MEK,” she said on her visit to Tehran in a meeting of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee on 22 February 2018. After making a number of allegations about the Iranian opposition movement PMOI or MEK, she added: “We cannot continue to allow some members of this parliament, possibly out of naiveté, to continue to abet some of the members of this organization.” Her claims are particularly surprising, given that competent European and American court...
