An End to the Iranian Regime Is Coming

NCRI - Iran’s so-called Assembly of Experts recently expressed concerns about the consequences of the widespread Iranian uprising in a meeting of its senior board.
In this meeting assembly chief Ahmad Jannati and spokesman Ahmad Khatami highlighted three crises facing the Regime in response to the protests; the legitimacy of the people's demands, the blowback that the Regime is facing internationally because of its crackdown against the protests, and the Regime’s failure to censor and control the internet.
The truth is the Regime were unprepared for the Iranian people’s protest which clearly demanded regime change and they were also unprepared for the international community to largely support the Iranian people.
Mehdi Abrishamchi, Chair of the Peace Commission in the Iranian opposition coalition, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), said: "This uprising took the ruling regime and many foreign analysts by surprise. At a time when the Iranian Resistance has time and again during the past year emphasized how Iran's atmosphere is ready for significant developments and a major uprising. Step by step NCRI statements and speeches delivered by NCRI President Maryam Rajavi very specifically explained how conditions for overthrowing this regime are ripe and at hand."
Indeed, less than two weeks before the protests started, Rajavi addressed a Paris conference and said: “We have once again come together to convey to the world the voice of the suffering people of Iran; to say that the Iranian people and Resistance are prepared to overthrow the mullahs’ religious dictatorship and replace it with a government based on freedom, equality, and democracy."

It really becomes a case of ‘how could anyone not see this coming?’

The protesters attacked a large number of Regime buildings, including the offices of the representatives of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who orchestrated the crackdown against the protesters. There is not one instance of the protesters attacking private property. This is not an unorganised mob; this is a highly organised populace making it clear that they are unhappy with the Regime as they chant "Death to Khamenei".

It is clear from this that the Iranian people see the Regime as the true cause of their problems and know that the only solution is regime change.

For years, the Regime has presented a moderate versus hardliners debate to muddy the waters for international governments to intervene. The Iranian people have loudly declared this to be false and made it clear that there are no moderates in the Regime. This again shows that the only option in regime change.

NCRI member Shahriar Kia wrote on Riyadh Daily: “During the past 36 years, the factor preventing this religious and fundamentalist dictatorship, known as the ”Velayat-e faqih," to establish a vast extremist empire inside Iran and throughout the Middle East, and endanger peace and stability across the globe, is the presence of an active alternative paying the heavy price of this initiative. The NCRI and [the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK)] are the entities behind this ongoing effort. The MEK, enjoying deep roots in Iran's history and vast domestic and international support, has been able to alert the world regarding Tehran's clandestine nuclear program and terrorist plots abroad. The MEK has not allowed Iran's mullahs become a nuclear power and take the entire Middle East under their control.”

The international community must oppose the Iranian Regime and support the Iranian people and its organised Resistance.

Rajavi said: “I urge the Council of Europe, the European Union and its member states, and the United Nations to stand beside the people of Iran and not the mullahs’ theocratic regime. The regime must understand that it has to pay a high price for opening fire on demonstrators and killing them under torture."

The Regime may have quelled the current wave of protests, but another one is coming and soon the Regime will be overthrown.

Regime Change Is Only Way to Stop Iran Proxies in Iraq

Regime Change Is Only Way to Stop Iran Proxies in Iraq Saturday, 24 February 2018 07:57 NCRI Staff NCRI - When Iraqi Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani issued a fatwa calling on all able-bodied Iraqis to defend their country against ISIS, a 100,000-strong fighting force, known as the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), emerged. The PMF was made up of multiple volunteer Shiite militia groups that filled the void left by the collapsed Iraqi army, but some of these groups hid a dangerous sponsor: Iran. While all PMF militias are technically under Iraqi control, those Iran-aligned groups still answer to the Iranian Regime and, as such, have done real damage to the safety and security of Iraq in order to expand Iranian influence in the country. In fact, the Iran-backed PMF forces, who have been working in Iraq since the fall of the Baath regime, may even have been responsible for sectarian atrocities that laid the groundwork for ISIS and the 2006 war between Arab Sunnis and Shiites. They hav...
