بيان صادر من قبل أكثرمن 30من نواب البرلمان البريطاني من الحزب الليبرالي الديمقراطي بشأن مجزرة العام 1988 
أقيم المؤتمر السنوي للحزب الليبرالي الديمقراطي البريطاني أواخرسبتمبر في مدينة بورنموث شارك فيه وفد من المقاومة الإيرانية التقى خلاله بمجموعة من نواب من كلا المجلسين البريطانيين وزعماء الحزب الليبرالي الديمقراطي وناقش معهم بشأن استمرارإنتهاك حقوق الإنسان في إيران وتواصل الإعدامات خاصة إعدام الشباب والمراهقين.

وأصدر في المؤتمرأكثر من 30من نواب الحزب الليبرالي من كلا المجلسين البريطانيين بيانا دعموا فيه الدعوة من قبل السيدة مريم رجوي رئيسة الجمهورية المنتخبة للمقاومة لوضع حد لحصانة رموز النظام الإيراني التي دعت الحكومة ووزارة الخارجية البريطانية إلى الإعتراف بمجزرة السجناء السياسيين العام 1988 بإعتبارها جريمة ضد الإنسانية ودعم المقررة الخاصة للأمم المتحدة المعنية بحقوق الإنسان في إيران.

كما ناشد النواب الحكومة البريطانية مطالبة المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لحقوق الإنسان بإصدار أمر لإجراء التحقيقات بشأن مجزرة العام 1988 بهدف إحالة منفذي وآمري الجريمة أمام العدالة.

نحن قلقون بشكل بالغ بشأن تدهور وضع حقوق الإنسان في إيران لاسيما عدد الإعدامات المتزايدة. جرى في عهد روحاني أكثر من 3200حالة إعدام حيث أعدم 200إعدام فقط من تموز2017 لحد الان .
ويوثق تقرير المقررة الخاصة المعنية بحقوق الإنسان في إيران تلك الحالات من الإنتهاكات في 14 آب 2017 وكذلك يهتم بمجزرة آلاف السجناء السياسيين في صيف 1988حيث كانت أغلبيتهم يساندون الحركة المعارضة الرئيسية في إيران منظمة مجاهدي خلق بما أن هذا التقرير:
-يؤكد تنفيذ تلك الإعدامات الجماعية بعد صدور فتوى من قبل خميني؛
-يؤيد عمليات الكشف السابقة عن تورط مسؤولي الكبارللنظام في المجزرة بمن فيهم وزيرالعدل وأحد قضاة المحكمة ورئيس إحدى أكبرالمؤسسات الدينية في البلاد ومرشح الإنتخابات الرئاسية الأخيرة.
نحن الموقعين أدناه، ندعم دعوة السيدة مريم رجوي رئيسة الجمهورية المنتخبة للمجلس الوطني للمقاومة الإيرانية الأمم المتحدة والدول الغربية الديمقراطية إلى وضع حد لحصانة مسؤولي النظام الإيراني. ونحن نطالب بالحاح الحكومة و وزارة الخارجية البريطانية بما يأتى أدناه:
-الإعتراف بالمجزرة بإعتبارها جريمة ضد الإنسانية باتفاق مع بريطانيا لدعم المقررة الخاصة للأمم المتحدة المعنية بحقوق الإنسان في إيران وإدانة تلك المجزرة؛
-ندعو المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لحقوق الإنسان إلى إصدار أمر لإجراء التحقيقات بشأن مجزرة العام 1988 بهدف إحالة منفذي وآمري الجريمة أمام العدالة.
